  • Meowive is a cat-lifestyle publication and digital store. By using the site, you agree to these terms.
  • Our content is for general information only — it doesn't replace veterinary, medical, financial, or legal advice.
  • Digital products (eBooks, guides, courses, planners) are final sale, no refunds, because they are delivered instantly and cannot be returned.
  • Our content is copyrighted. Don't republish, scrape, or use it to train AI models without written permission.
  • Affiliate links exist — they don't change the price you pay, and they don't change what we recommend.
  • Disputes are handled individually — no class actions. Liability is capped at what you've paid us in the last 12 months or $100, whichever is greater.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you ("you", "the user") and Meowive ("Meowive", "we", "our", or "us") regarding your use of meowive.com (the "Site") and any digital products, newsletters, or services we provide. By accessing the Site or making a purchase, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Site.

Meowive is an independent editorial publication and digital products company focused on cat care, behavior, nutrition, lifestyle, and product reviews. Eligibility & account responsibilities

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to make a purchase on Meowive. By using the Site, you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

Permitted use of the Site

You may use the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes — including reading articles, browsing products, signing up for our newsletter, and purchasing digital downloads for your own use. All other uses require our prior written permission.

Prohibited use

You agree not to:

  • Copy, reproduce, scrape, or republish any content from Meowive without written permission.
  • Use any automated tool (bot, crawler, scraper) to access or harvest the Site beyond what is permitted by our robots.txt.
  • Use Meowive content, in whole or in part, to train, fine-tune, or evaluate any artificial intelligence model, machine-learning system, or large language model — see Section 5.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Site.
  • Resell, redistribute, or share digital products you have purchased.
  • Use the Site to transmit malicious code, attempt unauthorized access, or interfere with normal operation.
  • Impersonate Meowive, its team, or any other person or entity.

Intellectual property & AI-training prohibition

All content on Meowive — including articles, guides, eBooks, photography, illustrations, design, code, logos, and brand assets — is owned by Meowive or its licensors and protected by copyright, trademark, and related intellectual-property laws.

AI-training prohibition. Meowive content is expressly not licensed for use in training, developing, fine-tuning, evaluating, or improving any artificial intelligence model, machine-learning system, large language model, generative AI tool, or similar technology, regardless of the technical method (scraping, ingestion, retrieval, indexing, or otherwise). Any such use without our prior written consent is prohibited and constitutes a material breach of these Terms.

Digital products — terms of sale

Meowive sells digital products including eBooks, guides, planners, courses, printables, and bundles. By purchasing, you agree to the following:

  • Delivery: products are delivered electronically, typically immediately after purchase via email or download link.
  • License: you receive a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the product for your own personal use. You may not resell, redistribute, share, or sublicense it.
  • Format: products are typically delivered as PDF or similar digital formats. You are responsible for ensuring your device can open them.
  • Pricing & currency: prices are listed in U.S. dollars unless stated otherwise and may change at any time without notice.

Refund policy — all digital sales final

All sales of digital products are final. Because digital products are delivered instantly and cannot be returned in the same way as physical goods, Meowive does not offer refunds, exchanges, or credits once a purchase is complete.

By completing a purchase, you expressly acknowledge and waive any statutory right of withdrawal or "cooling-off" period that might otherwise apply under your local consumer-protection laws (where such waiver is legally permitted), in exchange for immediate access to the digital product.

Genuine technical or delivery issues — if you do not receive your download, the file is corrupted, or you cannot access what you purchased, contact us at contact@meowive.com within 14 days of purchase. We will work with you to resolve the issue (typically by re-sending the file or providing an alternative download link). Resolution of technical issues is the sole remedy available for digital-product purchases.

Chargebacks. Initiating a chargeback or payment-provider dispute without first contacting Meowive to attempt resolution is a material breach of these Terms and may result in permanent ban from future purchases.

Affiliate & referral disclosure

Meowive participates in affiliate marketing programs — including Amazon Associates and other retail and service partners. When you click certain links on the Site and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. Affiliate links are framed as recommended products and services and reflect our editorial opinion; they never change the price you pay.

This disclosure is provided in accordance with the United States Federal Trade Commission's Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising (16 CFR Part 255).

No professional advice

Meowive publishes general information for cat owners. Our content is not veterinary, medical, financial, or legal advice. If your cat is unwell, behaving unusually, or you have specific concerns about their health, you must consult a licensed veterinarian. Reliance on Meowive content is at your own risk — see our Disclaimer for full details.

User-submitted content

If you submit content to Meowive — including comments, reader photos, testimonials, or messages — you grant Meowive a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, perpetual license to use, reproduce, edit, publish, and display that content in connection with the Site and our promotional materials, with credit where appropriate.

You confirm that any content you submit is your own, does not infringe any third party's rights, and complies with applicable laws.

Third-party links & services

Meowive links to third-party websites and services, including affiliate partners and product retailers. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, availability, or practices of these third parties. Any transactions you make with them are between you and that third party.

Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Site and all content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind — express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. Meowive does not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Meowive, its team, partners, and licensors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or veterinary expenses — arising out of or related to your use of the Site or our products.

Liability cap. Meowive's total cumulative liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or the Site is limited to the greater of (a) the total amount you have paid Meowive in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100).

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Meowive, its team, contributors, and partners from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Site, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party right.

Dispute resolution & class-action waiver

Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of the Site must be resolved on an individual basis. You waive any right to participate in a class action, class arbitration, or representative proceeding against Meowive. You and Meowive agree to attempt informal resolution by email before pursuing any formal proceeding.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Meowive operates, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any formal disputes that cannot be resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the courts of that jurisdiction, except where applicable consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Severability & entire agreement

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remainder remains in full effect. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Disclaimer, Cookie Policy, and DMCA Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Meowive.
