The short version, in plain English

  • Meowive respects copyright. If you own something that's been used here without permission, tell us — we'll act on valid takedown notices quickly.
  • Send DMCA notices to contact@meowive.com with "DMCA" in the subject and the required information below.
  • Repeat infringers are removed permanently.
  • If your content was removed by mistake, you can file a counter-notice.

Meowive ("we", "our", "us") respects the intellectual-property rights of others and expects users and third parties to do the same. In accordance with the United States Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 (the "DMCA", 17 U.S.C. § 512), we will respond promptly to valid notices of claimed copyright infringement involving content published on meowive.com.

Filing a DMCA takedown notice

If you believe that content on Meowive infringes your copyright, please send a written notice that includes all of the following information. Incomplete notices will delay processing.

  1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
  2. A clear identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (or, for multiple works, a representative list).
  3. The exact URL(s) on meowive.com where the allegedly infringing material is located — specific enough that we can find it.
  4. Your full name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
Important. Under U.S. law (17 U.S.C. § 512(f)), submitting a knowingly false or misleading DMCA notice can result in legal liability for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees. Please consider whether the material may be protected by fair use or another exception before filing.

Where to send notices — designated agent

DMCA Designated Agent — Meowive

Email: contact@meowive.com
Subject line: "DMCA Takedown Notice"

To enable fast processing, please send notices by email. Include all six items listed in Section 1 and any supporting documentation (links, screenshots).

Our response process

Upon receiving a valid notice we will:

  • Acknowledge receipt within five (5) business days.
  • Investigate the claim in good faith.
  • Remove or disable access to the material identified as infringing if the notice meets the DMCA requirements.
  • Take reasonable steps to notify the user or contributor who posted the material that it has been removed.

We may also forward your notice (including your contact details) to the affected party.

Counter-notice

If you believe that material you posted was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notice. Send a written counter-notice to our designated agent that includes all of the following:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal (URL).
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
  5. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or, if your address is outside the United States, the judicial district in which Meowive may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original DMCA notice or their agent.

Upon receipt of a valid counter-notice, we may restore the removed material in 10–14 business days unless the original complainant notifies us that they have filed an action seeking a court order.

Repeat infringers

Meowive has adopted a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances and at our sole discretion, accounts, contributors, or commenters who are deemed repeat infringers. We may also limit access to the Site or our digital products for any user who infringes the intellectual-property rights of others.

Trademark complaints

If you believe content on Meowive infringes a trademark you own, please email contact@meowive.com with "Trademark Complaint" in the subject line and provide: your contact information, the trademark at issue, registration details if applicable, the specific URL(s), and an explanation of how the use is allegedly infringing.

Acknowledgment

By filing a DMCA notice or counter-notice with Meowive, you acknowledge that you understand and accept this policy. We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to modify this policy at any time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision.
