Our leadership team oversees editorial standards, category strategy, and the publishing process across the entire site.
Patrick founded Meowive to build the kind of cat publication he could never find online — one written by real cat people for real cat people. He leads business operations and keeps the editorial team focused on one rule: useful first, everything else second.
Sarah runs the newsroom. With over a decade in lifestyle journalism and 15+ years owning cats, she sets the editorial calendar, signs off on every guide, and is the reason every article on Meowive sounds like a person and not a robot. Her cat Luna, an orange tabby, supervises.
Daniel is the medical conscience of Meowive. With a background in animal health sciences and years working in feline-focused care environments, he reviews every health, nutrition, and symptom-related article on the site before it publishes — and decides when we tell readers to call their vet.
The specialists writing your favorite guides.
Each editor below leads one of our coverage areas. They write, test, review, and are the named byline you see on the articles in their category.
Rachel leads the Behavior & Training category. She has studied feline behavior for over a decade and lives with three rescue cats who, between them, exhibit every behavioral quirk she writes about.
Emily covers the Nutrition & Feeding category. Her background in animal sciences gives her the patience to read every ingredient label and the writing skill to explain what actually matters about cat food.
Jessica leads Products & Buying Guides. She has been testing cat products in real homes for ten years, lives with four cats of widely different temperaments, and is the reason our reviews include the line "we wouldn't buy this again."
Olivia leads Lifestyle & Home. With a background in interior design, she specializes in apartment living, cat-friendly home design, and the question of how to integrate a litter box into a small space without surrendering your style.
Amanda leads Adoption & Beginner Guides. She has fostered more than 30 cats over eight years through her local shelter network and writes from the trenches — what new owners actually need on day one, week one, and month one.
Lauren is the senior staff writer behind many of our long-form guides. With twelve years in journalism and a 17-year-old cat named Marshmallow as her co-pilot, she specializes in deep, calm, well-researched explainers.
Maya runs Meowive across Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and Facebook. She turns our long-form guides into the short, useful clips you actually share with your group chat — and replies to comments like she means it.
From first draft to your screen — the editorial process.
Every article on Meowive moves through four stages before publishing. This is what protects you from the AI-flavored, copy-pasted cat content that fills the rest of the internet.
Brief & assign
The editor-in-chief assigns each topic to the specialist who actually has experience with it — never to whoever has time.
Draft & test
Writers draft from lived experience and, where applicable, test the product, technique, or routine themselves before publishing.
Review & fact-check
Health, nutrition, and behavior pieces are reviewed by our veterinary advisor. Product claims are double-checked.
Edit & publish
The editor-in-chief reads it aloud. If it sounds like a robot wrote it, it goes back. Then — and only then — we publish.
